D'Angelo History

This picture shows glass 5-gallon bottles being loaded onto a D'Angelo truck on a winters day in 1938.
D'Angelo Natural Spring Water was founded in 1928 by Anthony D'Angelo. Anthony originally purchased a 15 acre parcel of land in East Dundee, Illinois on which to live. Amazingly, he soon found that there was an underground natural spring with delicious clear spring water. He started serving the spring water to his family and friends at the dinner table.
In 1928, he built the fountain (pictured below). This is where water pours fourth from the lion's mouth. A fountain has always been used as the company logo and the fountain itself exists to this day.
The D'Angelo water bottling plant (pictured above left in 1928) shows workers filling spring water into five gallon glass bottles. Notice the absence of automatic electronic fill valves; in the early days, bottles were corked similar to wine bottles. Today the bottles are electronically sealed to insure quality.
The bottling methods may have changed but be assured, the water is the same great quality originally initiated by Anthony D'Angelo himself!
